Nintendogs baby! That is all i can say. The phenominon that has been widespread throughout Japan has made it's way to America and is already selling out in many stores. Nintendo released three versions of the game on the Nintendo DS. Lab & Friends, Dachshound & Friends and Chihuahua & Friends. Depending on what type of dog you want to raise, that is the version you will want. For myself I went with the Lab & Friends version. Not only am I taking care of a real lab puppy in real life(she is 5 months old), now I am taking care of one in a videogame as well and I love it! The game is meant for the DS. You get some true useage out of the Touch Screen. Everything about Nintendogs is top notch. The graphics, the presentation, even the audio is great(You will want to use your headphones though.) Ign.com did give Nintendogs an 8.8 out of 10 which is very good. I would probably give it a 9.2 if I were a reviewer myself. If you own a Nintendo DS, give Nintendogs a shot!

Excerpt from ign.com: "Nintendogs is clearly focused on the mainstream market than the truly hardcore, but no matter who you are there's a lot of enjoyment to be had out of this unique Nintendo DS product. The interaction with the virtual dog is done extremely well on the Nintendo DS, and even if you pride yourself in your masculinity it's hard to resist these adorable critters romping around on the handheld. With all the things that you can do and collect in Nintendogs, though, it doesn't feel like it's enough, and you might find yourself expecting and wanting more out of the experience. But it's a great time until you've capped out all the play modes, and even when you do there's still a little more fun with Bark Mode to see if you can attract random puppies into your world."

I am telling you, Nintendogs if a very fun game. It is a definite kids game right out of the box, but it can be a very deep game. I have my copy and my pooches name is Wolf, the german Shepard. He is awesome!!
