Well, here we go again. Another RPG entering the PC World. Guild Wars, which is the very first title from developer ArenaNet, threatens the entire online RPG establishment with its very bold design. Guild Wars is very rewarding on many different levels and should be appealing to all, even if you aren't the biggest RPG fan in the world. Guild Wars was recently reviewed on gamespot.com and received a 9.2 out of 10, which receives an editors choice Gold Award which means that Guild Wars is very appealing. System Requirements are as follows:
Windows XP/2000/ME/98; 800 MHz Pentium III or equivalent; 256 MB RAM; ATI Radeon 8500 or GeForce 3 or 4 MX with 32MB of video memory; 500 MB hard drive space; Internet connection; DirectX 8.0.
Those are your mimimum requirements but if you want to get everything out of Guild Wars, you better be packing a high-end N Vidia or ATI video card, at least a 3GH processor, 1GB Ram. This is the kind of game that can last you a very long time, so why not run it at the best of it's ability.
Guild Wars is an absolutely huge story-driven role-playing adventure, but you can cut straight to the player-versus-player skirmishing if you prefer. Personally, I think that was an awesome idea by the developers. If you are not into all that, you don't have to be. If you want a great looking, great sounding and great playing RPG for your PC, then you might as well make it Guild Wars. It will last you a long, long time!!
