I cannot wait to get my hands on Forza Motorsport. This game is definitely going to be the GT4 killer for the Microsoft XBOX. According to ign.com it is the GT4 killer, almost. Ign.com reviewed Forza Motorsport today and gave the beast a 9.5 out of 10 which is exactly what GT4 received a few months ago when it came out. However, gamespot.com gave Forza a 9.2 out of 10 and only gave GT4 an 8.9 out of 10. Forza Motorsport appears to be the game that every XBOX owner has been wanting in a racing simulator and did not want to buy a PS2 for one game. Although the wheel support with the logitech wheel is better than what XBOX has to offer at the moment but we are talking about the game right now and not periferals. Technically Forza Motorsport looks outstanding. Artistically, ign.com claims the game is very plain. Gamspot.com thinks otherwise so it will be up to you to decide if the graphics are some of the best in the business. The one thing that does take the game down a notch is the sound. Not the sound itself but the soundtrack. Basically, turn off the soundtrack right when you get the game and use your ripped soundtracks. Gameplay is where Forza defeats GT4. Excellent physics and handling. Great sense of speed. Forza Motorsport resheshes itself 240 times a second, GT4 only 80 so take that Sony. The game will own you for around 60-80 hours according to ign.com and personally I can't wait. I have been waiting for this game for a long time and I was hoping that custom soundtracks would be offered. The game offers a great menu system and because the game is so complex, luckily you don't get lost with all the different types of classes and cars. Forza breaks them down into what you have available for what tracks which is nice. The offline mode in Forza is huge but the online mode is what will have you coming back for more with XBOX Live. This game is an online achievement and if this is what the future will begin to look like, then online gaming will be a major player in the next-gen gaming arena. Bottom line here is pick up Forza Motorsport and spend the next 80 hours of your life rockin' and rollin'!!!
