This is going to be an interesting fall the Playstation 2 and it's flurry of Mascot's all trying to gain the top spot. This fall we will be getting new renditions of Ratchet, Jak and Sly. The titles of the new games are as follows: Jak X, Ratchet: DeadLocked and Sly 3. All will be coming out probably around the same time this fall to compete for your hard earned dollar.
This time around there are some changes to two of the games however. Well to start things off, it appears that Sly 3 will remain the same and you will be able to use the same playable characters as last time. They included Sly, Bentley and Murray. This time around you will also be able to step into the shoes of Inspector Carmelita Fox, the lounge lizard Dimitri and a host of others as well. Should be very interesting.
Jak X, which I did not think there would be another Jak after Jak 3 but now Jak X is going to be a racing game. Yes you heard right, a racing game. There will be hoverbikes, dune buggy's and many other types of vehicles. Expect the same type of characters in the game including your two favorites Jak and Daxter. SHould be interesting to see how people take to this new Jak game!
Now for Ratchet. The new game being touted as Ratchet: Deadlocked has gone the way of the dark. Just like Jak did. Remember when the first Jak game, then called Jak and Daxter was so nice and cute, then Jak got angry in Jak 2 and then super angry in Jak 3. Now it appears Ratchet has done the same. Yes it is true the title is missing Clank. I am not sure what that is about but I would expect to see Clank at some point. From the screenshots I have seen it appears that Ratchet has gone from the cuddly little fuzzball to a Master Chief lookalike. Anyway the game should be a blast, they always are. And yes multiplayer is back and hopefully more people will play online as it is pretty sweet.
