Finally. Four years and two publishers later, Pschyonauts is finally here and by the looks of things didn't lose any of it's greatness on the way here, which is definitely a good thing. Gamespot.com reviewed Psychonauts earlier this week and gave it an 8.8 out of 10 which is very, very good. Gamespot.com reviews games harder that ign.com but both websites are usually very close. Psychonauts received an 8 for gameplay, 9 for graphics, 10 for sound, 7 for value and a 10 for tilt. Psychonauts is a quirky, offbeat game set in a special summer camp for clairvoyant kids, in which a group of psychic children end up in a wacky adventure filled with brain-stealing hijinks, psychic secret agents, and a little romance on top of everything else. So needless to say, Psychonauts is not your usual platformer. You can tell that every moment in the game had care and quality put into it and this game is one platformer for the ages. If you are looking for a lengthy adventure or a stiff challenge, you better turn your attention elsewhere. On the other hand, if you are looking for a videogame that has a brilliant story and fantastic presentation, while also being very fun and whimsical then definitely give Psychonauts a shot!!
