Well ATV Offroad Fury: Blazin' Trails was a tough game for ign.com to review. While they gave ATV a 7.5 out of 10 rating which is still good, it does come with it's share of problems. The presentation in ATV Offroad Fury: Blazin' Trails is superb. That category received a 10 for it's brilliant career structure and awesome networking features. The game does have a lot of lasting appeal to it as it received a 9 because it does have many unlockables worth getting. Where the game suffers unfortunately is in the graphics, sound and gameplay areas as all received a 6.5 out of 10 which is not very good. I was hoping that with that extra month Sony gave itself to polish up the game, they would fix some of these issues and make them better but it appears SCEA could not get it done. The game is definitely less forgiving than ATV3 for the PS2. The sound, well it just sounds grating you know like real ATV's and that isn't anything special. The game is very choppy. Graphics wise the game is so-so. Just nothing special which is a real shame especially now that we know what the PSP can do. If you are into racing games stick with Ridge Racer and WipeOut Pure, the only way to go.
