Which is the better multiplayer racing game on the GameCube: F Zero:GX or Mario Kart:Double Dash?? I have to say I have both games and I still play them both. It is a tough decision between the two. They both offer quite different racing styles. One is more layed back while the other is extremely fast and you have to keep your eyes on the tv at all times. For my money, if I had to choose one I would go with F Zero:GX. If offers a large amount of ships to choose from(although you have to earn them by playing the 1 player game), extremely fast racing keeping your eyes on the screen at all times and sharp graphics. On the other hand Mario Kart is a fan favorite and has been since the Super NES. It was revolutionized by the N64 and was probably one of the most played game between 4 friends on a Friday night. Although with the new one, to me it just didn't feel like Mario Kart with the two riders. One racing while the other one using items out the back. While it is still a good game, it just doesn't do the Mario Kart series justice.

| I have to disagree with you RumpleSmoothSkn. I think Mario Kart:Double Dash is a much better racer between the two. You can play with 4 people and only have the dual split screen. Taking turns driving and item using is a blast. Plus nothing is better than a nice battle match. While I like F Zero as well it just isn't as fun as Mario Kart. While it may not be a revolutionary edition to the Mario Kart Series it gives us Gamecube owners updated graphics and a new style of gameplay. So my vote if for Mario Kart. Also can't wait for Mario Kart on the new Nintendo DS. |
