I want to know what you think has been the toughest VideoGame Boss to date?

There have been so many tough bosses throughout the years it is a hard choice to decide which one. For me I would have to say that is Bowser from Super Mario Bros. He was always so tough back in the day. I will tell you I spent many of days attempting to take the big green monster out!!!

Bowser was possibly (if not the hardest) the most memorable boss, I mean Mario Bros, giant lizard badguy? A lot of games have big lizard baddies, so bowser lives on through every generation. But I think the hardest video game boss was...I can't remember, I mean I know that there was one that would always get me frustrated enough to turn off the game for about a day, but I forgot which one it was...awkward

Loved the last post Torque. Very true, that does seem a bit awkward. Oh well, I am sure you will remember it at some point because there have been quite a lot of tough bosses in gaming that I can remember and I do remember back in the Sega Genesis days there were a bunch of games that had tough bosses. Recently, I would have to go with the boss in Devil May Cry 3, that took forever. Oh yah I can't forget the boss in God of War for the PS2, that took a while!!

Thanks for coming to gamegophers.com Torque and posting. We would love for you to continue coming back so we can reach our goal of making gamegophers.com one of the biggest and best gaming forums out there. Let me know if you would like to be a moderator on the site!!

Good Call, Eggman was tough. You know I just played through Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal and let me tell you the end boss Dr. Nefarious was tough as hell. It took forever to beat. I would put that up definitely in the top 10 of toughest bosses of all time!!

Oh yah I definitely agree. Frieza in all his different forms from DBZ: Legacy of Goku was very tough, maybe even top 5 of all time tough. I totally forgot about him. Been a while since I played that game! Another one that I remember being tough was the boss from Devil May Cry, can't remember his name though, he was tough as hell!!!

If you need any walkthroughs through games go to www.ign.com. You can get many for free but some require you to be an insider member which costs $20 bucks a year but trust me, it is worth it. Ign's content is unmatched and I go there for all my gaming needs!

Definitely. Ign.com is great for gamers. Other sites that I visit but are not nearly as good as Ign.com. You have gamespot.com, gamepro.com and gamespy.com. EGM the Magazine is also very good too. But for guides, cheat codes and previews of upcoming games, ign.com is the place to be. Hopefully if we can get a load of members we can turn gamegophers.com into one of the webs finest gaming forums!!

Definitely! Ign.com is the place to go for current and new to the street videogame news. They have some of the best reviewers and definitely they get the cream of the crop scoop for insider members. So if you are not an ign insider, you need to be!!

I've got it! Nineball from Armored Core: Nexus. That was the one who made me so frustrated I would sometimes shut off my PS2 after trying for so long. But man that feeling when I defeated him was just incredible, I guess that's how it is when you finally do.

Oh, and also Hermes T. Haight from The Suffering (The green gas guy) the hardest part was finding and turning off all those vents that let in the gas and then covering all the other vents, even then you had to time it just right to get him into the furnace. The first time it took me 2 days, now I just breeze through it.

And I don't know, for me it's kinda hard to navigate through ign's directory to what I'm looking for. I use gamespot instead.

Yah I remember NineBall. That was one hell of a final boss. Armored Core: Nexus was a phenominal game but the ending did take a while. I never played the Suffering but i may have to give it a try.
