Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf DS has now hit the Nintendo DS, but not with as much force as Tiger hit on the consoles this season. While it is a good start for EA Sports on the DS, they had to basically rush things to get them out. Ign.com gave Tiger Woods a 6.0 out of 10. While the game has very good graphics and some lasting appeal once you get used to the touchscreen swing mechanics. Sound is the place where EA didn't spend enough time. According to ign.com the sound is just not meant for a golfing experience. Next year though Tiger Woods should be a phenominal golf game for the Nintendo DS. I know I am still going to give the game a chance and go pick it up this weekend.

| I picked this game up a couple of days ago and I love it. Mind you it is not the best game out there but I think it deserves a better score than a 6.0 from ign.com. I love the touchscreen use for the swing, it is something totally new and fun which is why I bought the DS in the first place. Obviously the game was rushed in development to make it out for the holidays and I think EA Sports did a fine job. I definitely will be expecting much more next year for both Tiger Woods and Madden. Both are treating me good for starter games on the DS but they better be top notch for the 2006 versions!!! |
