We are getting close to go time for Resident Evil 4 for the Nintendo GameCube. The game will be hitting the streets on January 11th, 2004 and I can't wait. Last week finally gave up some juicy info about Resident Evil 4 including weapon upgrades, the new inventory system and controlling the new character Ashley as well as many others. In Resident Evil 4 you can actually purchase items from merchants which should be sweet. Each merchant can also upgrade your weapons which will help tremendously. Basically what this does is add another layer to an already awesome game. One of the biggest changes in my eyes is that you will be able to save your game as many times as you want, wherever and whenever you want. That is huge. Another big change to the Resident Evil franchise is that Leon will receive transmissions from a woman telling him where to go next and how to find Ashley. In the game you will actually have to use Ashley to help solve puzzles and other things. Although there is not much known about Ashley yet, Capcom has said it will not hinder players progress through the game. I can't wait for Resident Evil 4. I have always been a huge fan of the series and now the GameCube will finally have an original edition of Resident Evil.
