Many people who bought Half Life 2 yesterday are experiencing some major issues. Some copies at this point are temporarily useless due to authentication delays. Valve who is the maker of the game has said that they are investigating the problem.
No users that downloaded the game from Valve's download service, Steam, have reported any problems. This is something that probably won't help Valve in the sales department considering all the delays that Half Life 2 has had. Hopefully they get the issue resolved soon.
