You know I haven't really touched my Nintendo GameCube in a long time and it's a shame. I recently picked up Pikman 2 and Mario Power Tennis but I really haven't played my GameCube since last year and the original Metroid Prime. The followup game Metroid Prime 2: Echoes is again in first person perspective but is not just a shooter. It is an adventure. The game is getting awesome reviews which I figured it would. Ign.com gave it a 9.1 out of 10, gamespot.com gave it 9.1 out of 10, gamespy.com gave it 5 starts out of 5 stars and EGM gave it a 9,9,10. The game is being praised for it's beautiful graphics and large amount of secrets. We GameCube owners know that the GameCube can produce sweet graphics but for some reason they haven't taken advantage of it that often which is a shame. This time around Metroid Prime 2: Echoes features a light world and a dark world. Samus has a creepy third eye this time around which is a pretty cool feature. Look to spend at least 20-30 hours just to do the bare mimimum to beat the game. There are tons of secrets in this game to keep you playing for a while. So if you own a GameCube, definitely pick up Metroid Prime 2: Echoes!!!!
