I picked up the new Lord of the Rings: The Third Age for the PS2 and at best, I can say the game is ok. Obviously I should have got the XBOX version, as the PS2 version is choppy and the load times suck. I have just been trying to get my selection of PS2 games a little higher but that was a mistake on my part. The game itself though is decent. Definitely not as good as I thought. Ign.com gave it an 8.5 but as far as I am conerned it shouldn't have gotten that high. EGM gave it a 7, 7 and a 5. That is more like it I think. While the game has good graphics and a good fighting system, you usually by a game for it's story especially a Lord of the Rings game you expect an excellent story. Seriously so far there is like no story and I am leaning toward trading this game in at my local Blockbuster. Anyway if you like RPG's stick with Final Fantasy for the PS2 or Fable for the XBOX.
